The Lightest Travel Scooters We Carry in Canada (2026)

Care Made|
The lightest travel scooters we carry, compared by each maker's own weight with and without the battery, plus the heaviest piece for scooters that come apart, weight capacity, range and which batteries the makers call airline approved or compliant.

The short answer: Of the travel scooters we carry, the lightest with the battery in are the eFOLDi Compass at 29 lb, the Pride Go Go Carbon at 39 lb and the MOVO Pilot, at 44 lb on MOVO's product page or 41.8 lb on another MOVO page. The Pride Go-Go Super Portable is next at 49.6 lb. All four fold. Of the scooters that come apart and have a published heaviest piece, the Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 has the lightest, at 35 lb.

Travel scooter weights are hard to compare because makers weigh them in different ways: with the battery or without it, assembled, or piece by piece. Every figure below is the maker's own, from its spec sheets, brochures, manuals and product pages, shown with what it includes. Where a maker gives only imperial distances, as Golden does, we converted them to kilometres. For power chairs, see the lightest folding power wheelchairs.

The lightest with the battery in

We ranked by the complete scooter with its battery, as each maker weighs it.

eFOLDi Compass

29 lb with battery24 lb without

eFOLDi calls it the lightest 4-wheel mobility scooter in the world, and says it folds in seconds. It carries up to 265 lb and goes up to 16 km on flat, dry ground with its 10 Ah lithium battery, which comes off to charge.

Pride Go Go Carbon

Pride says it folds in seconds and can be towed like luggage. It carries up to 300 lb and goes up to 16 km on its 12 Ah lithium battery, a figure Pride gives for a full 300 lb load.

Pride Go-Go Super Portable

49.6 lb with battery41.6 lb without

Pride's figures are for its 11.7 Ah lithium battery, which weighs 8 lb. It folds to 12 inches deep without taking off the seat and stands upright when folded. It carries up to 300 lb and goes up to 16.3 km with a 220 lb rider.

MOVO's product page gives the MOVO Pilot 44 lb with its battery and another MOVO page gives 41.8 lb, so we have not given it a card. By either figure it is the third lightest, ahead of the Super Portable.

Weights side by side

Sorted from lightest to heaviest by the maker's total. In the heaviest piece column, a scooter that folds shows its weight without the battery, and a scooter that comes apart shows its heaviest single piece.

Scooter Total, as the maker states it Heaviest piece Battery
eFOLDi Compass 29 lb with the battery Folds. 24 lb without the battery on eFOLDi's product page; its manual says 25 lb Not published
Pride Go Go Carbon 39 lb with the battery Folds. 35 lb without the battery Not published
MOVO Pilot 41.8 lb on one MOVO page, 44 lb on another Folds. 40 lb without the battery, on the second page Not published
Pride Go-Go Super Portable 49.6 lb with the 11.7 Ah battery Folds. 41.6 lb without the battery, seat included 8 lb
Golden Buzzaround CarryOn 65.5 lb assembled 47.5 lb, the main body without the seat and batteries 5 lb each, two included
MOVO S26 73 lb with the battery Folds. 56 lb without the battery Not published
Golden Buzzaround XL+ 97 lb assembled 42.5 lb, the front body 7 lb
WHILL Model R 125.2 lb fully assembled, in WHILL's US figures 46.1 lb, the drive base 6 lb
Pride Go-Go Sport 129.5 lb with the batteries 44 lb, the front section 14 lb each, two batteries

Pride Go Go Endurance AL+ Not published with the battery. 83.2 lb without it, seat included, in Pride's US sheet 35.2 lb, the front section 8 lb (8 Ah), about 12 lb (16 Ah)
Pride Revo 2.0 Not published with the batteries. 131.5 lb without them, seat included 57 lb, the front section 25 lb each, two batteries

The Travel Buggy HELIX is not in the order because Travel Buggy gives a 55 lb net weight without saying whether its two batteries are in it. The Shoprider Chameleon GK-84 and Spirit GK-10 come apart too, but Shoprider's Canadian distributor gives only 94 lb and 176 lb, without piece weights or saying whether the batteries are in, so they are not in the order either.

Folding or coming apart

  • They fold: the eFOLDi Compass, Pride Go Go Carbon and Go-Go Super Portable, Travel Buggy HELIX, and MOVO Pilot and S26. eFOLDi and Pride say the Compass and Go Go Carbon fold in seconds, Travel Buggy says the HELIX folds flat with no disassembly, and MOVO says the S26 folds electrically.
  • They come apart: the Golden Buzzaround CarryOn into two pieces, the Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller 2, Go Go Endurance AL+ and Golden Buzzaround XL+ into five, the Buzzaround EX into six and the WHILL Model R into four, counting the battery. The Pride Go-Go Sport and Revo 2.0 come apart too.

Folded, the Compass measures 36 by 17 by 16 inches, the Go Go Carbon 19 by 17.5 by 26.5 inches, the HELIX 35 by 24 by 13.7 inches and the S26 31.5 by 19 by 23.6 inches. The Super Portable folds to 12 inches deep, and the CarryOn to 12 inches high without its seat.

A scooter that comes apart can have a lighter heaviest piece than one that folds, but you lift every piece. The Elite Traveller 2's heaviest piece weighs 35 lb, the same as the Go Go Carbon without its battery, yet the rest of the scooter weighs 83 lb without its batteries.

Range, weight capacity and battery

A lighter scooter is easier to lift, but check how far it goes and what it carries.

Range, capacity and battery for every scooter
Scooter Weight capacity Range Battery
eFOLDi Compass 265 lb Up to 16 km on flat, dry ground 10 Ah lithium
Pride Go Go Carbon 300 lb Up to 16 km with a 300 lb load 12 Ah lithium
MOVO Pilot MOVO's pages differ: 250, 275 or 300 lb Up to 15 km 10 Ah lithium
Pride Go-Go Super Portable 300 lb Up to 16.3 km with a 220 lb rider 11.7 Ah lithium
Travel Buggy HELIX 265 lb Up to 20 km Two 5.8 Ah lithium
Golden Buzzaround CarryOn 300 lb About 23 km, or about 12 km on the spare, with a 200 lb rider 12.5 Ah lithium, plus a 6.5 Ah spare
MOVO S26 250 lb Up to 18 km Up to 11.5 Ah
Golden Buzzaround XL+ 325 lb About 15 km (12 Ah) or 29 km (24 Ah), with a 200 lb rider 12 Ah or 24 Ah lithium
Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller 2 300 lb Up to 22.1 km with a 220 lb rider Two sealed lead acid
WHILL Model R 325 lb Up to 17.2 km Lithium, 269 Wh
Pride Go-Go Sport 325 lb Up to 19.31 km Two 18 Ah deep cycle
Golden Buzzaround EX 350 lb About 29 km with a 200 lb rider Two U1
Pride Go Go Endurance AL+ 325 lb in Canada, 400 lb on Pride's US sheet 14.5 km (8 Ah) or 29 km (16 Ah), with a 200 lb rider 8 Ah or 16 Ah lithium
Pride Revo 2.0 400 lb Up to 28.6 km with a 200 lb rider Two U1 sealed lead acid

Range depends on the test. Pride tests some scooters at their maximum weight capacity and others with a 200 or 220 lb rider, Golden uses a 200 lb rider, eFOLDi quotes flat, dry ground, and MOVO says wind, rider weight and slope change it.

Flying with a travel scooter

Makers word their battery claims differently, and each airline sets its own rules.

  • eFOLDi says the Compass and its battery are fully airline compliant, and to check with your airline first.
  • Pride calls the lithium batteries on the Go Go Carbon and Super Portable airline compliant, and on the Go Go Endurance AL+ only the 8 Ah battery. Its brochures make no airline claim for the sealed lead acid batteries on the Elite Traveller 2, Go-Go Sport and Revo 2.0.
  • Golden calls the CarryOn airline approved and says its batteries can be removed and taken as a carry on. It calls the XL+ battery airline friendly and makes no airline claim for the EX.
  • Travel Buggy calls the HELIX battery airline approved, and WHILL lists the Model R as approved for air travel on its US page. MOVO makes no airline statement for the Pilot or S26.

How to choose a light travel scooter

  1. Work out what you will lift. For a scooter that folds, that is the whole scooter, or the scooter without its battery if the battery comes out. For one that comes apart, it is the heaviest piece, and you lift every piece.
  2. Measure your trunk against the folded sizes above.
  3. Compare range at a similar rider weight, because makers test with different loads.
  4. Check the weight capacity. The scooters here run from 250 lb on the MOVO S26 to 400 lb on the Pride Revo 2.0.
  5. Plan for flights. Choose a battery the maker calls airline approved or compliant, and check with your airline before you book.
