The Lightest Folding Power Wheelchairs in Canada (2026)
The short answer: Of the folding power wheelchairs we carry whose makers publish a weight for the complete chair with its battery, the lightest are the eFOLDi Navigator at 31 lb, the Golden Cricket LT at 31.3 lb assembled and the Pride Jazzy Carbon 27 at 32.38 lb. Without the battery the order changes, because makers leave out different parts: the Cricket LT is 25.8 lb without its battery, cushion and drink holder, the Navigator 27 lb and the Jazzy Carbon 27 27.8 lb. Only compare weights that are measured the same way.
Folding power chair weights are hard to compare because makers weigh their chairs in different ways. Some include the battery and some do not, and a few also leave out the cushion, the joystick or the bag. Every weight below is the maker's own figure, shown with what it includes, so you can compare like with like.
The three lightest with the battery in

eFOLDi Navigator
eFOLDi calls it one of the world's lightest, most compact folding powered wheelchairs. Its weights leave out optional accessories. It goes up to 13 km on a charge with a 10 Ah lithium battery, and eFOLDi says to take the battery off and carry it with you on a flight.

Golden Cricket LT GP309
Golden's 31.3 lb is the assembled chair with its standard memory foam cushion, or 29.5 lb with the base cushion. It folds to a 12 inch profile while staying on its wheels, carries up to 300 lb and has a battery Golden calls airline approved.

Pride Jazzy Carbon 27
Pride's figures include the standard seat. Pride calls it one of the lightest folding power wheelchairs available. It carries up to 300 lb, goes up to 15 km per charge, and its standard 12 Ah lithium battery is airline compliant, according to Pride.
The eFOLDi and the Golden are 0.3 lb apart, which is less than the difference the cushion makes on the Golden, so treat them as a tie.

Weights side by side
Sorted from lightest to heaviest with the battery in. Each figure is the maker's own. We left out the Drive Medical CarbonTouch and the Signature Series Out & About because we could not confirm their makers' weights.

Chairs with a net weight only
These makers give a single net weight without saying whether the battery is in it, so they cannot be placed in the list above.
- Travel Buggy AEROLUX 2C: 33 lb chair net weight.
- Travel Buggy Grand Tourer GT: 49 lb chair net weight. Travel Buggy says its built in loading wheels reduce the lifting weight by up to 33%.
- Robooter E80: about 35 lb net weight.
- Robooter E40: about 55 lb net weight, converted from Robooter's 25 kilograms. Robooter says its 20 Ah battery weighs 3.4 kilograms, about 7.5 lb.
Range, weight capacity and flying
A lighter chair is easier to lift, but check what it can carry, how far it goes and whether its battery can fly.
Range, capacity and battery for every chair
| Chair | Weight capacity | Range | Battery and flying |
|---|---|---|---|
| eFOLDi Navigator | 265 lb in eFOLDi's manual; 297 lb on its web page | Up to 13 km | 10 Ah lithium. Take it off and carry it with you on a flight. |
| Golden Cricket LT GP309 | 300 lb | About 15 km, tested with a 200 lb rider | 10 Ah lithium, which Golden calls airline approved |
| Pride Jazzy Carbon 27 | 300 lb | Up to 15 km | 12 Ah lithium, airline compliant according to Pride |
| AirFlyer | 300 lb | Up to 24 km | 10 Ah lithium, which The Mobilist calls fully airline approved |

| Pride Jazzy Ultra Light | 300 lb | 12.9 km with the 10 Ah battery, 26.3 km with the 20 Ah, both with a 200 lb rider | Only the 10 Ah battery is airline compliant |
| Golden Cricket GP302 | 300 lb | About 15 km, tested with a 200 lb rider | 12 Ah lithium, which Golden calls airline approved |
| Pride Jazzy Carbon HD | 400 lb | Up to 20 km | Standard 20 Ah lithium. Pride calls its optional extra 12 Ah battery airline compliant and does not say so for the 20 Ah. |
| Pride Jazzy Carbon | 300 lb | Up to 15 km | 12 Ah lithium, airline compliant according to Pride |
| Travel Buggy AEROLUX 2C | 350 lb in Canada | 20 km per battery, with a bay for a second | Travel Buggy calls the battery airline approved |
| Travel Buggy Grand Tourer GT | 350 lb in Canada | Up to 25 km | Travel Buggy calls the battery airline approved |
| Travel Buggy DASH 3 | 265 lb | Ask us for the current figure | Travel Buggy says its FLIGHTWEIGHT chairs are approved for travel |

| Robooter E40 | 330 lb | 23 km with the 20 Ah battery | Robooter says 12 Ah batteries can fly but the 20 Ah cannot |
- Range depends on the test. Pride tests some chairs at their maximum weight capacity, Golden uses a 200 lb rider and Robooter's US figures use a 220 lb load.
- The airline decides. Most of these makers also say to check with the airline before you fly, whatever the battery label says.
- Capacity can differ by country. Travel Buggy rates the AEROLUX 2C and Grand Tourer GT at 350 lb in Canada and 300 lb in the US.
How to choose a light folding power chair
- Work out what you will lift. If the battery comes off before the chair goes into the car, the lift is the without battery weight. If it stays on, use the with battery weight.
- Check the weight capacity. The chairs here run from 253.5 lb on the WHILL Model F to 400 lb on the Pride Jazzy Carbon HD.
- Measure your narrowest doorway. Outside widths run from 21.8 inches on the WHILL Model F, with its narrower arm setting, to 26.4 inches on the Pride Jazzy Carbon HD.
- Plan for flights. If you fly, choose a battery the maker calls airline compliant or approved, and check with your airline.

Questions about light power chairs
What is the lightest folding power wheelchair?
Among the chairs we carry whose makers publish a weight with the battery in, the eFOLDi Navigator (31 lb) and the Golden Cricket LT (31.3 lb assembled) are the lightest, followed by the Pride Jazzy Carbon 27 (32.38 lb). Several makers call their chairs one of the lightest, so look at how each weight is measured rather than at the claim.
Do power wheelchair weights include the battery?
It depends on the maker. Pride and eFOLDi publish both. Golden gives an assembled weight and a lighter weight without the battery and some parts. Travel Buggy and Robooter give a net weight for some chairs without saying whether the battery is in it.
Which light power chairs can go on a plane?
The makers of most chairs here describe the battery as airline approved, compliant or friendly. The exceptions are the larger batteries: Pride says the Jazzy Ultra Light's 20 Ah battery is not designated airline compliant and calls only the optional extra 12 Ah battery on the Jazzy Carbon HD airline compliant, and Robooter says the E40's 20 Ah battery cannot fly. Check with your airline before you book.
What is the lightest power chair that holds 300 lb or more?
With the battery in, the Golden Cricket LT (31.3 lb assembled) and the Pride Jazzy Carbon 27 (32.38 lb) are both rated to 300 lb. The Pride Jazzy Carbon HD carries up to 400 lb at 39.7 lb with its battery.
