At a glance
Pride Jazzy Ultra Light
An 18 in seat on a chair that is 33 lb with the battery out, and the only folding chair we sell that takes a bigger battery.
The lift, before anything else
Forty pounds ready to go, thirty three once the battery is out.
The chair on its own is 33 lb. The battery lifts out and weighs 5 lb in the 10 Ah size or 7 lb in the 20 Ah, so it is 38 lb or 40 lb ready to drive. The 33 lb is the single heaviest piece you ever pick up.
iTake the battery out first. It comes out on its own, before you lift anything, and that is 5 lb or 7 lb off the chair. What goes into the car is 33 lb in one hand and a battery in the other.
iWhat the weight buys. An 18 in seat, which is the widest of any folding chair we sell, and a full 300 lb weight capacity that does not drop when you fit the smaller battery. A chair this light usually asks you to give up one or the other.
Into the car
It folds by hand, and the battery comes out first.
Standing, the chair is 40.91 in long and 24.49 in wide. It folds by hand with no tool and nothing to unbolt, and it goes into the trunk as one piece with the battery carried separately. That order matters: battery out, then fold, then lift.
- ✓It folds by handNo tool, and nothing comes off the chair to make it fold
- ✓The battery lifts out5 lb in the 10 Ah size, 7 lb in the 20 Ah, and it travels beside you rather than in the chair
- ✓It goes in as a single pieceNothing left over to keep track of in the trunk
- ✓Standing size 40.91 in long by 24.49 in wideLength and width, before it is folded
iOn the folded size. Pride does not print a folded measurement for this chair, so we will not print one either. The numbers that decide whether it goes in your car are the ones Pride does print, and they are 33 lb in your hands and a chair that folds flat in one piece.
The seat, and the doors
Eighteen inches of seat, on a chair twenty four and a half inches wide.
Seat width is the measurement you sit in all day, so it leads. Pride gives this chair a seat 18 in wide and 18 in deep, which is the widest seat of any folding chair we sell, and it stays 18 in at the full 300 lb weight capacity. The chair itself measures 24.49 in across the widest point, and Pride publishes a 33.19 in turning radius.
Front door
36 inThe usual front door
✓Straight through. The chair is 24.49 in across, so you have 11.5 in to spare.
Interior door
32 inThe standard door inside a house
✓Straight through. Seven and a half inches of room, which is enough to take it slightly on the angle.
Narrow bathroom door
24.5 inThe tightest door in an older home
•Too close to call. The chair is 24.49 in and the door is 24.5 in. That gap is one hundredth of an inch, and both figures are rounded, so we will not call it a fit.
iWhere it goes easily. The doors inside a house are almost always the 32 in kind, and this chair clears those with more than seven inches of room. Hallways, elevators and shop aisles are wider again, and at 24.49 in it is one of the narrowest chairs we sell.
One charge
Thirteen kilometres on a charge. The bigger battery doubles it.
The battery this chair comes with is good for about 12.9 km on one charge. The 20 Ah battery is the single upgrade that changes what the chair can do, and it takes that to 26.3 km. Both are Pride's own figures.
Those are best case figures. Here is what changes them.
- ✓What you weigh, and what you carryMore load on board means fewer kilometres
- ✓Hills and rough groundClimbing spends charge faster than level pavement
- ✓ColdEvery lithium battery gives back less in a Canadian winter
- ✓Nothing to pump upFlat free wheels front and back, so tire pressure never costs you range
iWhat is behind it. A 25.2 volt lithium battery in either 10 Ah or 20 Ah, and it is the same chair underneath either one. Top speed is 5.94 km/h, and the chair carries up to 300 lb with either battery fitted.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
It pairs an all carbon fiber frame with a genuinely light 33 lb body (without the battery), an airline compliant lithium battery, and front suspension for a smooth ride. It is also backed by Pride Mobility's dealer network and a lifetime limited frame warranty, so you get a premium travel chair from a brand that stands behind it.
-
The chair weighs about 33 lb without the battery and 38 lb with the standard 10Ah battery. It folds nearly flat in seconds and locks into its folded position, then unfolds just as quickly, which makes lifting it into a car trunk or storing it in a closet easy.
-
The Jazzy Ultra Light uses an airline compliant lithium battery, which is why it is popular with travelers. Airlines still set their own rules for lithium batteries, so always confirm with your specific airline before you fly, but the chair is designed with air travel in mind.
-
It supports up to 300 lb and travels up to 12.9 km with the standard 10Ah battery or 26.3 km with the optional 20Ah battery (manufacturer test results at 200 lb). Actual range varies with rider weight and conditions.
-
Yes. The Jazzy Ultra Light is under 24.5 inches wide, which fits comfortably through standard interior doorways, and it turns within about 33 inches for easy indoor driving. We recommend measuring your narrowest doorway before ordering.
