Drive AeroWalk Ultra-Lite
A 14.8 lb aluminium rollator with a 17.7 in seat and 9 in wheels at the front, where a rollator needs them most.
What you actually lift
14.8 lb, and here is what that feels like.
Weight decides whether the walker comes with you or stays by the door. Every figure here is the manufacturer's published weight for a rollator we actually stock.
- 10.6 lbbyACRE Carbon Ultralight, carbon
- 14 lbEvolution Trillium, aluminium
- 19 lbDrive Nitro Sprint, aluminium
Here is the honest trade. The AeroWalk is aluminium rather than carbon, so it sits about 4 lb above the lightest frame we carry and you notice that lifting it into a car boot every day. What the aluminium buys is the price, and a 330 lb rating that is higher than our lightest carbon rollator carries. Drive measures the 14.8 lb without the storage bag, and we quote their figure the way they publish it.
Choosing your size
Two seat heights, 20 in and 23 in.
The AeroWalk comes as a Standard and a Tall, and the seat is the whole difference between them. Everything else stays the same: a 17.7 in seat, a padded backrest that adjusts for your lower back, the same 330 lb rating and the same price.
- ✓Standard sits at 20 inHandles run 31.5 to 35.4 in
- ✓Tall sits at 23 inHandles run 31.5 to 37.3 in
- ✓Seat 17.7 in wide, 10 in deep, on bothWith an adjustable backrest behind it for lumbar support
iA 20 in seat is a low seat. If pushing up out of a low chair is hard work, take the Tall and sit at 23 in instead. Same walker, same seat, same 330 lb, and three inches less to climb every time you stand.

Sitting down is half of what a rollator is for. The backrest adjusts, so it meets your lower back rather than your shoulder blades.
Will it fit you
Will the handles reach you?
Stand tall with your arms loose at your sides. The grips should come up level with the crease of your wrist. Set too low you will stoop, set too high your shoulders will ache. Both sizes start at the same handle height, so the Tall simply reaches further up.
How it rolls
Bigger wheels at the front, where they do the work.
The front wheel is the one that meets a threshold, a lip of pavement or the edge of a lawn first, so it is the one worth making bigger. Drive puts 9 in at the front and 7.5 in at the back, and runs the brake cable inside a frame with no visible welds on it.
- ✓9 in front wheelsLarger than a typical indoor rollator wheel, and the pair that hits the obstacle
- ✓7.5 in rear wheelsEnough to follow the front through without adding bulk behind you
- ✓Concealed brake cableNothing running along the outside of the frame to catch
- ✓Folds side to sideDrive's own folding design, on a frame that is 23.3 in wide to begin with
