The HELIX is Travel Buggy's folding scooter that moves like a power chair. Four-wheel pivot steering and a wide wheel track give it a 37 inch turning radius and a stable ride. Its net weight is 55 lb, it carries riders up to 265 lb, and it was designed in Canada.
One pull of the fold lever folds it flat in seconds, with nothing to take apart. Folded, it measures 35 × 24 × 13.7 in and stands upright on its own, and a tow handle built into the footrest lets you roll it along. The tiller adjusts in height and angle and folds flat, and the backrest has three height settings, with up to 10 inches of adjustment.
Two 24 V / 5.8 Ah lithium-ion batteries come standard under the seat, and the scooter switches to the second one by itself. Travel Buggy lists them as airline approved. The HELIX goes up to 20 km per charge at up to 6 km/h and climbs slopes up to 10°, on a 250 W brushless motor. Front and rear LED lights are built in, the rear light comes on when you reverse, and the controls are keyless.
