The Buzzaround CarryOn GB120 is Golden's fold-flat travel scooter for planes, cruises and the car. It comes apart into two pieces. The heaviest is the main body, at 47.5 lb with the seat and batteries off. Folded, it is 12 inches high without the seat. Assembled, it weighs 65.5 lb and carries riders up to 300 lb. Forbes Health named it one of the best lightweight mobility scooters of 2022.
Golden describes the easy-access 12.5 Ah lithium-ion battery as airline friendly, and a 6.5 Ah lithium-ion spare comes in the box. Range is up to 23.2 km on the 12.5 Ah battery and 12.1 km on the spare, up to 35 km across both. Top speed is 5.8 km/h. Both batteries lift out, and each airline sets its own battery rules.
Golden's latest update adds a thicker, contoured stadium seat. Flip-up armrests, an infinitely adjustable tiller and four-point carry handles come standard. So do front and rear LED lights, front and rear baskets, a cane holder, a USB port and a drink holder. The rear basket doubles as a kickstand, so the scooter can stand upright in storage.
