The CITY 2 PLUS is a higher-capacity folding power chair that separates into smaller transport pieces. Travel Buggy’s owner manual lists a 395 lb maximum user weight, a 66 lb net chair weight without the batteries and a 72.8 lb gross chair weight.
The chair separates into a 38.6 lb frame and two 12.5 lb motor-and-wheel units. The complete chair is not a 38 lb chair; 38.6 lb is the frame subassembly. Plan space for all three pieces and use help if any lift is beyond your safe ability.
The manual lists up to 20 km of range, a top speed of 6 km/h, an 8° incline capability and a 29.5 in turning radius. Actual range changes with load, surface, slope, temperature and battery condition.
It uses two removable 24V/6Ah (144 Wh each) lithium-ion batteries. Travel Buggy labels them for airline travel, but each carrier makes the final acceptance and handling decision. Confirm before departure.
Best for: people who need more capacity and a transport design that breaks into smaller pieces. Consider another model if: you need a one-piece chair with the lowest possible lift weight.
