Quick Answer
The Golden Ally Sport GP305 is a power wheelchair that folds itself. Press a button and the chair folds or unfolds on its own, with nothing to unlatch. It carries up to 265 lb, travels up to 15.3 km on a charge and reaches 6.4 km/h.
Rides like a bigger chair: 10 in pneumatic rear drive wheels, 10 in omni-directional front casters and front suspension smooth out sidewalks and thresholds. The turning radius is 30 in, and the chair is 25 in wide.
Comfort and control: The 16.5 by 16.5 in memory foam seat sits 22.5 in off the floor, with an 18 in backrest and 20 in between the armrests. The Golden app adds control from your phone, voice alerts keep you informed, and side and rear lights help others see you.
Travel: The 10 Ah lithium-ion battery weighs 5 lb and is airline friendly. The chair weighs 92 lb with the battery, and the heaviest piece is 87.5 lb, so plan on a ramp or a second person for lifting into a car.
For a lighter lift, compare the Golden Ally GP303 at 56 lb or the Golden Ally Pro GP304 at 75 lb, or see all power wheelchairs in Canada.
