MOBB Swivel Shower Chair 3.0
The seat turns so you do not have to. What is worth settling before it arrives is whether the legs stand where you need them.
Start here
Measure the floor of the tub, not the rim.
A bathtub is wider at the top than at the bottom. The four legs stand on the bottom, so the bottom is the only surface that decides anything. Two measurements, taken flat, and the question is closed.
- 1Empty the tub and dry itNothing in it, so the tape can lie on the surface the legs will actually land on
- 2Measure across at the floor, wall to wallPress the tape down on the flat bottom. The rim reads wider and it is not the number you want
- 3Measure the other way, along the flat bottomStop where the floor stops being flat and starts curving up at the ends
- 4Keep both numbers togetherOne is the room the legs have across, the other the room they have front to back
- ✓18.5 in across the front legsFront leg width for model MHSCIII
- ✓16.5 in front leg to back legDepth, taken along the same floor
The rim will flatter your tub. A bath narrows as it goes down, so a reading taken across the rim is always the friendlier of the two and always the wrong one. The floor is what the feet land on, so the floor is the number to trust.
iTwo numbers and you are done. Write them on your phone before you leave the bathroom. Every chair, bench, stool and mat you look at after this is judged against the same pair, so you only ever take them once.
Where the seat lands
Two heights adjust, and they stack.
MOBB publish two separate adjustments on this chair, one for the seat and one for the back, and they sit on top of each other. Here is the sum in the open.
- +16 to 21.5 in, seat to floorSeat height range for MHSCIII
- +16 to 18 in, back top to seatBackrest height, measured up from the seat
- =32 in at the lowest, 39.5 in at the tallestHow far the top of the backrest reaches above whatever floor the legs stand on
The arms sit 20 in apart and the seat measures 16 in by 13.5 in, both MOBB's published figures. Those three numbers together are the whole shape of the chair: how wide it is at your hips, how much seat is under you, and how far the backrest reaches up.
iHere is the check that matters. Set the seat first, then the back. Sit down with the chair standing on the surface it will live on, and look at your feet. Flat on the floor means the seat height is right. Then raise the back until it rests against you, and stop there.
After it is yours
One year, in MOBB's own words.
MOBB put a Limited One Year warranty on this chair, model MHSCIII. It appears nowhere on this page, so here it is, exactly as MOBB publish it and with nothing added.
- ✓Limited One Year is the published termIt sits on the specification table against model MHSCIII
- ✓Rustproof lightweight aluminumFrame material for this chair, which is what a wet room asks for
- ✓300 lb capacityWeight capacity for the same model
MOBB do not print the conditions behind the term on the product page. We would rather print the term they do publish than paraphrase conditions nobody has written down.
iWorth keeping: your Care Made order confirmation. It carries the date and the model, which is where any warranty claim begins. Hold on to that email and there is nothing else for you to do.
